Our story
WeDraftIt was started by civil and structural engineers who spent years on the other side of the table: preparing cost estimates, checking contractor bills and fixing budgets that had gone off the rails.
Again and again, we saw the same thing. Homeowners who had saved for years started building with a single number in mind, often taken from a website or a friendly chat with a builder. Halfway through, the real costs appeared.
Why we started
Large developers always have a cost engineer checking every number. Homeowners, who take the biggest financial risk of their lives, usually have no one. We wanted to change that.
So we built a simple, affordable service: the same careful calculation a professional project would get, explained in plain language, delivered online to homeowners wherever they live.
How our remote process works
You never need to leave your home. Everything happens by email, WhatsApp and, when useful, a video call.

Send plans, sketches, photos or measurements by email, WhatsApp or a file-sharing link. We tell you exactly what we need.
2. Video call if needed
For more complex projects, we schedule a short call to understand your goals and walk through your home on screen.
3. Delivery by email
You receive your report, plans or images by email, with time to ask questions and request clarifications.

Hamid Bouragaa is a civil engineer and the founder of WeDraftIt. He started the company to give homeowners the same careful cost calculation that professional projects get, explained in plain language.
Hamid personally oversees every estimate, quote review and set of plans, so you always know an engineer has checked your numbers.
